20-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapyvtsov played his La Liga match for Girona against Rayo Vallecano. His appearance was unexpected: first-choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga was sent off at the end of the first half, forcing Krapyvtsov to immediately face a penalty. Despite conceding, he impressed with several confident saves and kept a clean sheet in the second half.
For Krapyvtsov, this debut was a real test of character. At the end of the first half, Paulo Gazzaniga committed two serious errors that led to his dismissal and a penalty for Girona. That’s when the young Ukrainian entered the field.
Entering under such pressure is never easy: a penalty, a 0–2 scoreline, and the home crowd against you. Krapyvtsov couldn’t stop Palazon’s penalty, but he quickly regained his focus and began showing confident goalkeeping. In the second half, his saves prevented Rayo from increasing their lead, while Girona managed to score thanks to an assist from Viktor Tsyhankov.
Several key moments stood out: he denied De Frutos’ dangerous shot inside the box and made a flying save against Álvaro García’s powerful strike. These moments showed that Krapyvtsov doesn’t fear pressure and can stay focused even in stressful situations. Despite the 1–3 defeat, his performance was judged positively by the coaching staff.

For his first La Liga match of the season, Vladyslav chose the trusted Brave GK Reaction Green model. These gloves have already proven themselves among professionals, and their features directly helped him feel confident under pressure.
The 4 mm Supreme Contact latex palm provides excellent grip even on wet pitches. Against Rayo, this was crucial: he cleanly caught close-range shots, reducing the risk of rebounds. The Rollfinger cut increases the contact area, offering stability in key moments.
The Fix Fit system with internal silicone inserts prevents hand slipping inside the glove. This allows the goalkeeper to dive, claim crosses, and move dynamically without losing control. Another advantage is thermoregulation: even in Spain’s heat, the gloves remain comfortable and let him focus fully on the game.
Krapyvtsov admits he trusts these gloves: they give him stability and allow him to concentrate on football itself.

Vladyslav Krapyvtsov, a product of Ukrainian football, joined Girona at 19. Moving to Spain was a big step in his development. In youth football, he stood out for his reflexes and composure, which earned him a chance at La Liga level.
The club values his potential highly. Competing for a place in the squad, he has already earned the coaching staff’s trust. Girona sees him as a long-term prospect, especially with rising interest in young Ukrainian players on the European market.
The coming months will be decisive: regular training with the first team, Copa del Rey matches, and possible La Liga appearances could help him secure a place in the squad and gain invaluable experience.
