Shakhtar Donetsk’s goalkeepers are actively preparing for UEFA Europa Conference League games. Having started the autumn with a 3–2 win over Aberdeen, the “Miners” lost 1–2 to Poland’s Legia in the second round. The match against the Poles became Shakhtar’s 300th game in European competitions. In the first match, goalkeeper Dmitriy Reznik took the field, and in the second — Kirill Fesyun. In the next round, Arda Turan’s team will face Iceland’s Breiðablik.
In training ahead of the match on November 6, Shakhtar goalkeepers Dmitriy Reznik and Kirill Fesyun are using our new Brave GK Diamond Pink goalkeeper gloves. They feature a 4 mm German Supreme Contact latex palm with a cushioning foam underlayer, a Rollfinger cut with no seams between the fingers, and a lightweight yet durable latex backhand with an embossed pattern that enhances protection when punching.
Preparation for the match against Breiðablik is already in full swing: dynamic drills, game simulations, and individual work with the goalkeepers.

The Donetsk club began the Conference League group stage with a 3–2 victory over Aberdeen in Scotland. The goal was guarded in that match by Dmitriy Reznik, who handled the opponent’s pressure confidently and saved the team several times at key moments. He was especially reliable at the end when the hosts increased their onslaught. Reznik showed consistency, high concentration, and calmness when coming for crosses. His performance helped the “Miners” preserve the winning result.
In the next round against Poland’s Legia, Kirill Fesyun started in goal. Despite a 1–2 defeat, the young goalkeeper produced a mature display and earned positive feedback from the coaching staff. He made several important saves, including point-blank stops, and was assured on his goal line. One of the conceded goals resulted from a long-range shot into the top corner, the second from a powerful set piece in the closing minutes.
Shakhtar head coach Arda Turan noted after the game that Fesyun is a promising keeper with excellent ability with his feet and great potential for growth. The coach emphasized that he is giving the young goalkeeper the chance to gain experience through match situations, since mistakes are part of professional development.
Both goalkeepers — Reznik and Fesyun — are currently wearing Brave GK Diamond Pink gloves, which provide a confident grip and comfort in any weather. This is a quality essential for steady play in intense European fixtures.

The Brave GK Diamond Pink goalkeeper gloves combine durability, softness, and precise control — crucial in the high intensity of the Conference League. The Diamond Pink model is designed for official matches and daily training. They perform confidently in all weather conditions — from rain and wind to cold — maintaining grip even on a wet ball.
The palm is made of 4 mm German Supreme Contact latex with a cushioning foam underlayer. This combination ensures a firm yet soft touch — the ball “sticks” to the palm even on short-range shots.
The Rollfinger cut with no seams between the fingers increases the contact area with the ball, helping goalkeepers act confidently on crosses and in tight battles in the box. The anatomical shape of the gloves follows the contour of the hand, providing a natural finger position and a snug fit without excessive pressure.
The backhand is made of lightweight yet durable latex with an embossed pattern that enhances protection when punching. At the same time, it retains the flexibility needed for frequent changes of direction. The internal Fix Fit system with silicone inserts prevents the hand from slipping, and the elastic cuff with a secure hook-and-loop closure stabilizes the wrist during jumps.
The Brave GK Diamond Pink gloves allow Fesyun and Reznik to play without constraints, preserving freedom of movement. They provide that very sense of control that decides the outcome of a moment when the ball is flying toward the goal.
After the opening rounds of the Conference League, Shakhtar holds a solid position in the group and continues the fight for a place in the playoffs. The win over Aberdeen and the respectable performance against Legia showed that Arda Turan’s team maintains its character and structure despite a tight schedule and matches outside Ukraine.
The next game will be on November 6 against Icelandic club Breiðablik — once again in Kraków, where Shakhtar plays its home European fixtures this season. It’s an important stage for the team: the result can significantly affect the group standings and boost the chances of reaching the tournament’s spring phase.
The club notes that one of the current squad’s strengths is depth and competition in key positions, including the goalkeeping department. Dmitriy Reznik and Vladislav Fesyun continue to rotate, which helps keep both fresh and match-ready. The coaching staff emphasizes that having two reliable goalkeepers is a strategic advantage, especially when competing in multiple competitions.
