The goalkeeper of Polish side Lechia Gdańsk has returned to full training after injury and chose the new Brave GK Air goalkeeper gloves for his sessions.
The model is designed specifically for professional goalkeepers who work in high-intensity conditions: it combines lightness and secure fixation thanks to the neoprene-latex base and the Fix Fit system, which prevents the hand from slipping inside. The 4 mm German Supreme Contact latex palm provides confident grip on the ball even on a wet pitch, while the Rollfinger anatomical cut increases the contact area and stability when catching.
The backhand is made of durable latex with ventilation inserts, which helps maintain comfort in any weather — from damp conditions to wind and cold.
After 13 rounds of the Polish Ekstraklasa, Lechia Gdańsk are in the lower part of the table with 10 points and are working on stabilising their results. The return of Sarnavskyi and his inclusion in the training process can become an important step towards restoring the team’s balance in play.
After undergoing surgery and a lengthy recovery period, Bohdan Sarnavskyi is gradually returning to his previous form.
The goalkeepers’ training sessions at Lechia, led by the coaching staff, are conducted in an intensive mode and aimed at restoring dynamics, reaction, and confidence in play.
During the sessions, drills over short distances are actively used — with multiple shots in a row, changes in angles, and different ball trajectories. The goalkeepers work in tight areas, which requires maximum concentration and quick decision-making. Special attention is paid to goal-line play and saves after deflections — typical situations for Ekstraklasa matches, where the attacking tempo is high and the space for movement is limited.
Sarnavskyi performs a series of exercises focused on reaction speed and catching technique: the training includes working with several balls at once, short bursts to mini-goals, and jumps with ball fixation in the air. Episodes with passes under pressure are also regularly practised, which helps improve footwork — one of the key aspects of modern goalkeeping.
A separate focus is placed on regaining confidence during falls after the injury: the coaches simulate in-game collisions and unpredictable bounces to bring back the feeling of control over movements. The intensity of the sessions is gradually increasing and, according to the club’s specialists, Sarnavskyi is already close to optimal form and will soon be ready to return to Ekstraklasa matches.
The main palm material is 4 mm German Supreme Contact latex, complemented by a foam lining. This combination provides a balance between a soft touch and a secure grip on the ball. Even when playing on wet surfaces or in cold weather, the gloves maintain stable ball control.
The backhand is made of durable latex with polygonal embossing and breathable mesh inserts. This construction improves ventilation and prevents the palms from overheating during long sessions. The cuff is made of elastic fabric with a firm Velcro strap — it provides reliable wrist fixation and stability during dives and landings.
The Fix Fit system deserves separate attention, as it prevents the hand from slipping inside the glove. Thanks to the internal silicone inserts and the Rollfinger anatomical cut, the Brave GK Air ensures a natural fit and control, allowing the goalkeeper to react faster to the ball’s movement.
Sarnavskyi notes that the gloves provide confidence when catching the ball and comfort when playing with the feet. They retain their shape even after intensive sessions, do not get soaked and do not become heavier, while the inner neoprene layer ensures a snug feel without restricting wrist flexibility.
After 13 rounds of the Polish Ekstraklasa, Lechia Gdańsk have collected 10 points and sit in the lower part of the league table. The team is trying to stabilise their results after a difficult start to the season and is actively working on improving their defensive play.
Despite the challenges in the league, Lechia continue to perform successfully in the national cup. On 30 October the team advanced to the next round of the Polish Cup, defeating Puszcza 3–1 after extra time.
The win allowed the club to reach the Round of 16 of the Polish Cup and added confidence ahead of the next Ekstraklasa fixtures.
