Under the guidance of Rustam Khudzhamov, the goalkeepers of Ukraine's national team are preparing for the second group stage match of Euro 2024. The squad includes three goalkeepers: Andriy Lunin, Heorhiy Bushchan, and Anatoliy Trubin. The first match against Romania ended unsuccessfully — we conceded three goals. The team is thoroughly analyzing mistakes to avoid them in the match against Slovakia. Additionally, we will talk about the closed training session on June 19 in Germany and the threat posed by Slovakia.

On June 19, a completely closed training session of the Ukrainian national team took place in Germany, in accordance with the tournament regulations, which the coach can conduct before each match. After running, warming up, and ball retention exercises, the team conducted a recovery training session. The main focus was on creating and executing goal-scoring chances. The team practiced combinations within a limited time with mandatory completion.
During training sessions, the coaching staff pays special attention to working with the goalkeepers. Khudzhamov focuses on several key aspects of a goalkeeper's game: reaction, coordination, and the ability to read the opponent's game. In one of the training stages, he practices situations that often arise during a match with the goalkeepers, including penalties, one-on-one situations, and set-pieces. Rebrov and Khudzhamov actively involve the goalkeepers in team training so that they can better interact with the defenders.
Preparation for the match against Slovakia also included video analysis of the opponent's previous games. Khudzhamov, together with the goalkeepers, thoroughly studied the shots of the Slovak strikers, their typical combinations, and playing style. This helps the goalkeepers be better prepared for possible scenarios during the match.

Slovakia is a strong opponent. They demonstrate stable play, have a reliable defense, and dangerous attacks. Statistics show that the Slovaks often score in the first halves and maintain their lead well. Their status in the tournament confirms their ambition to reach the playoffs.
Goalkeeping coach Rustam Khudzhamov always uses Brave GK Venom Black gloves during training sessions. They are equipped with a 4mm layer of elite SUPREME latex and 4mm foam padding. The innovative Roll Hybrid system provides comfort and support, maximizing ball contact. The Fix Fit system with silicone inserts ensures ball control. The neoprene Backhand effectively cushions impacts, and the latex-free cuff construction enhances durability and longevity. The modern design in a stylish combination of black and blue colors gives the gloves an aesthetic appeal.
