Czech goalkeeper Jakub Trefil is actively preparing for matches with Banik Ostrava, sharpening his skills during training sessions with Brave GK Fury Pro gloves. Jakub Trefil was born on February 9, 2001, in the Czech Republic. From a young age, he confidently pursued professional football, quickly establishing himself as a reliable and technically skilled goalkeeper. His talent didn’t go unnoticed—he represented the Czech Republic at the U-17, U-18, and U-21 levels, gaining valuable international experience.
In the fall of 2024, Trefil had a strong run with the Slovak club Komárno. There, he earned the position of first-choice keeper and made a significant contribution to helping the team maintain its position in the Slovak Superliga. His consistent performances and confident presence between the posts helped the club avoid the relegation zone.
Jakub’s success in Slovakia caught the attention of Banik. In January 2025, he joined the club on loan from Sigma Olomouc. From the very first training camp in Turkey, Trefil integrated fully into the team, completing a full cycle and playing a match against Polish side Korona. Banik’s coaching staff praise not only his reliability but also his confident footwork—a highly valued skill for modern goalkeepers.
Sporting director Luděk Mikloško emphasizes that Jakub is ready to step into the goal immediately if needed, and in the long term, he is considered a candidate for a key role in the squad.
