The match of the second round of the group stage of the European Championship took place on Thursday, June 17th, and ended with the victory of the Ukrainian national team over the national team of North Macedonia. The rich, bright, and incredibly exciting match of the Ukrainian national team against North Macedonia in Bucharest made fans drink sedatives. Such tension was fully justified - the national team showed real football and won with a score of 2:1.
Andrii Yarmolenko opened the scoring in the second round of the Euro 2020 group stage against North Macedonia in the 29th minute from a corner kick from Oleksandr Karavaev. Five minutes later, Roman Yaremchuk scored another goal against the opponent. The first half of the game ended with a score of 2: 0.
Macedonian players managed to send 5 goals to the goal of the "blue-yellow", four of which Heorhiy Bushchan successfully deflected. But in the 57th minute of the match, Alioski still managed to score a goal after an unsuccessful penalty. In the 68th minute, Buschan again helped out his native team, masterfully coping with a long-range shot.
So, after the first matches of the group stage, the national team of Ukraine scored 3 points and approached the Netherlands and Austria in the standings. In the next, 3rd round of the European Championship in this group, Ukraine will play against Austria on Monday, June 21.
