Georgiy Bushchan in the world's top 50 goalkeepers: Brave GK ambassador proves his class

Georgiy Bushchan is one of the most recognizable Ukrainian goalkeepers, and now his achievements have received international recognition. According to a global study by CIES, he entered the list of the world's top 100 goalkeepers and became the only Ukrainian representative in this ranking. He ranked 41st, outperforming many European and South American colleagues.

Today, Bushchan defends the goal of Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia and consistently starts in the main lineup. The goalkeeper remains a Brave GK ambassador and plays in our equipment, specifically in the signature Brave GK Diamond Aqua gloves.

Georgiy Bushchan in the CIES list: stability and international recognition

The CIES index considers numerous factors: the strength of opponents, match statistics, save percentage, and the goalkeeper's overall impact on the team's performance. To enter the top 50, it is not enough to play regularly — it is necessary to consistently perform at a high level.

Bushchan played at least 20 matches per year, including 8 in the current season for Al-Shabab. Despite changing leagues, he maintains the level of a top goalkeeper and demonstrates confident play even against the strongest teams in the Saudi league. His team is currently in 6th place, with decisive matches ahead.

Brave GK gloves — Georgiy Bushchan’s choice

In all his matches, Georgiy Bushchan trusts proven equipment — Brave GK goalkeeper gloves. One of his favorite models is the Diamond Aqua. It is created for professionals who value control, cushioning, and reliability in any weather. The 4mm Supreme Contact latex palm ensures confident ball grip even in the heat and humidity typical of Saudi Arabia. The foam lining absorbs impacts and protects joints, especially during close-range play.

The anatomical shape, Rollfinger cut, and internal Fix Fit system of the Brave GK Diamond Aqua provide a sense of stability and full synchronization of movements. These features are critically important for a goalkeeper of Bushchan's level, where every touch of the ball can be decisive.

Who else entered the world's top 100 goalkeepers according to CIES

The first place was taken by Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper of Paris Saint-Germain and the Italian national team. His performances in Ligue 1 and on the international stage continue to impress with stability and leadership in the penalty area.

Second place went to Yann Sommer, the guardian of Inter Milan's goal and the Swiss national team. The experienced goalkeeper demonstrated a high save percentage in Serie A and the Champions League.

Third place was awarded to Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid. Despite injuries, the Belgian managed to maintain a high level and earned his place among the elite thanks to his pre-injury statistics.

Other goalkeepers on the list include:

  • Mark Flekken — Brentford. Achieved the highest number of saves among all EPL goalkeepers.
  • Robert Sánchez — Chelsea. Quickly stabilized the Blues' defense and maintains a high save percentage despite frequent defensive rotations.
  • Péter Gulácsi — RB Leipzig. Returned after a serious injury and once again guarantees points: reliable on the line and initiates attacks with his first pass.
  • João Ricardo — Fortaleza. The veteran regularly rescues the club in Brazil’s Serie A.
  • Moritz Nicolas — Borussia Mönchengladbach. Breakout of the season in the Bundesliga: confident outings and reactions bring important points to the team.
  • Robin Zentner — Mainz 05. Key to the club's survival: stable in goal and strong in aerial duels.
  • Đorđe Petrović — Strasbourg (on loan from Chelsea). The youngest in the group; quickly adapted to Ligue 1 and already brings almost two points per match on average.

Against the backdrop of these names, Georgiy Bushchan's inclusion in the top 50 looks especially significant: he is the only Ukrainian on the list, and his result is recognition of the level he has achieved outside Europe.
