The goalkeeper coach of the Czech giant Viktoria Plzeň, Václav Winter, works during training in Brave GK Air gloves. Winter is actively involved in the training process: demonstrating drills, taking shots, and working with series of crosses and quick rebounds. In such a rhythm, goalkeeper gloves must withstand the load and maintain key characteristics in all weather conditions. Václav chose the Brave GK Air model. The balance of grip, fixation, and comfort allows the coach to work effectively at the same pace as the goalkeepers.
Viktoria Plzeň is one of the strongest clubs in the Czech Republic. Six championship titles, victories in the National Cup and Super Cup, regular appearances in European competitions, and participation in the Champions League group stages.

For a goalkeeper coach, it's not abstract characteristics that matter, but the behavior of the gloves in specific exercises. In working with Viktoria Plzeň's goalkeepers, Václav Winter focuses on series of shots, work after rebounds, and the quick transition from a save to starting an attack. This is where the key qualities of Brave GK Air are revealed.
Stable contact with the ball under intense load
The 4 mm Supreme Contact latex with a cushioning layer dampens the force of the strike and maintains tight contact with the ball. In "shot + rebound" drills, this is critical: if the ball is not secured immediately, the episode continues. The glove must work predictably during every touch, maintaining grip.
Hand fixation without loss of mobility
The Rollfinger cut increases the contact area with the ball, while the Fix Fit system stabilizes the hand inside. During jumps, changes of direction, and work in the penalty area, the hand does not shift inside the glove. At the same time, there is no unnecessary pressure on the wrist — you can work in series without hand fatigue.
Microclimate control during long sessions
Training in the Czech Republic takes place in various weather conditions — from cool to high humidity. The breathable backhand construction with ventilation inserts prevents the hand from overheating. Finger sensitivity is maintained until the end of the session, which directly affects the precision of ball fixation.

Václav Winter was born on August 18, 1976. He played as a goalkeeper, progressing from the Slavia Prague academy to a professional career in Czech clubs — Slavia Prague, Lázně Bohdaneč, Neratovice, Kladno, Bohemians 1905, and also played on loan for Vysočina Jihlava.
Years of experience playing as a goalkeeper formed his understanding of details: wrist work, positioning, rebound control, and behavior in the penalty area. After retiring, he moved into coaching and is now part of the staff at Viktoria Plzeň, one of the most titled clubs in the Czech Republic.
The club where Winter works as a goalkeeper coach was founded in 1911 and competes in the Czech top division (Chance Liga). Viktoria has 6 championship titles (2010/11, 2012/13, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2017/18, 2021/22), as well as victories in the Czech Cup and Super Cup. The team regularly participates in European competitions, including the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League.
In the 2024/25 season, the club finished in second place, scoring 71 goals and conceding 36. It is a team with a high playing tempo and serious goals — both domestically and in Europe.
