A very young Ukrainian goalkeeper, a graduate of Dynamo Kyiv, Alexander Petrenko is participating in the training of the main team of Bayer Leverkusen, one of the top clubs of the German Bundesliga. Despite the fact that the guy is only 16 years old, he was noticed by Bayer's coach Xabi Alonso (Real Madrid legend) and invited to training camp. This speaks of Alexander Petrenko's high potential and indicates that in the coming years we will definitely see the young Ukrainian in the matches of the top national championships of Europe, and possibly in the Champions League or the Europa League.
In addition to Dynamo Kyiv, goalkeeper Alexander Petrenko played in the goal of Shakhtar and the Hungarian team Kisvárda from the city of the same name. Since September 2022, the Ukrainian has been playing for Bayer's U-17 youth team and last season played in one match. Also, the 16-year-old goalkeeper played for the Bayer U-19 team - played three matches and conceded six goals. Petrenko also has three matches for the Ukrainian U-16 national team.
