Georgiy Yermakov has already joined the Ukraine national team. For him, this is his first full camp with the country’s senior team. It is a new stage and a new level of demands.
The camp is taking place in Lviv. For the Ukraine national team, this is a special moment, because the team is working at home again for the first time in a long period. The next day, the camp moved into full mode. First, the team held a theoretical session. Andrea Maldera spent about an hour explaining his vision for the upcoming matches and separately analyzed the Poland national team: how Ukraine should play, what the opponent’s strengths are and where its weak points can be found.
After the theory, the team went out for an evening training session. This was already a transition from the first emotions and introductory work to proper preparation for specific matches. That is how a full training cycle began, with tasks for the nearest games.
For Georgiy Yermakov, this camp is special. It is his first direct and full call-up to the Ukraine senior national team. He had crossed paths with the senior team before, but back then it was joint work with the youth national team. Now the situation is different: a full camp, full preparation and a completely different level of attention.
For a goalkeeper, this is an important step. He needs to quickly enter the overall process, understand the staff’s demands and work calmly alongside the national team goalkeepers — Anatoliy Trubin and Ruslan Neshcheret. This is Yermakov’s first full experience of working in the camp of Ukraine’s senior national team.
