  • Career of Ognjen Čančarević

    Ognjen Čančarević is an experienced Serbian-Armenian goalkeeper with outstanding international experience. His career began in Serbia, where he played for several clubs, including Sloboda Užice, Zlatibor Užice, and Radnički. With the latter, he won the Serbian First League and gained the right to play in the SuperLiga.

    In 2018, Ognjen joined Armenian side Alashkert, where he twice became the Armenian Premier League champion (2017/18, 2020/21), won the Armenian Cup (2018/19), and the Super Cup (2021). In January 2024, he signed a contract with Noah, quickly becoming a key player for the club.

    Čančarević became a true legend at Noah, demonstrating reliable performances both in the national championship and European competitions. In the 2024/2025 season, he helped his club finish first in the Armenian championship and scored a unique goal from his own penalty area against Greek side AEK in the Conference League qualification.

    After several years of playing in Armenian football, Čančarević received Armenian citizenship and was called up to the national team. He made his debut on June 16, 2023, in a Euro 2024 qualifying match against Wales, where Armenia secured an impressive 4-2 victory. Since then, he has remained an integral part of the team, providing reliability in goal during international fixtures.
